Role Overview
Apply technical writing expertise to create realistic evaluation materials that help train and assess next-generation AI systems. This remote contract role focuses on translating complex, real-world technical information into precise tasks, source materials, solution criteria, and documentation challenges. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities- Design and author expert-level evaluation tasks using technical data such as CSV files, PDFs, spreadsheets, and technical documents.
- Create and curate source materials, including product specifications, code samples, subject-matter-expert interview notes, and regulatory documentation.
- Define clear solution criteria and expected outputs for technical problem-solving assignments.
- Develop detailed grading rubrics with 35 or more criteria to assess accuracy, precision, testability, and alignment with the intended audience.
- Write varied documentation assignments, including API references, user guides, and compliance documents, reflecting authentic industry challenges.
- Collaborate asynchronously with project leads to refine deliverables and maintain alignment with benchmark objectives.
- 2 to 4 or more years of experience, supported by a portfolio in software, hardware, medical devices, or regulated industries.
- Demonstrated ability to produce precise, testable technical documentation and instructions.
- Advanced structured-authoring skills, strong style-guide adherence, and proficiency with documentation toolchains.
- Exceptional written English, including the ability to adapt tone and technical detail for different audiences.
- Strong analytical, source-synthesis, precision-writing, and audience-calibration skills.
- Experience defining acceptance criteria and rubrics for technical assignments.
- Familiarity with technical-domain benchmarking or evaluation methods is preferred.
- Remote independent-contractor engagement.
- Compensation is output-based and paid per task that meets project specifications. Completion time varies with experience and workflow.
- Minimum submission requirements apply, including a minimum number of task submissions each week.
- Roles are typically filled within 48 hours. Candidates selected for the role complete onboarding, then should be ready to begin their first tasks within 24 to 48 hours.
