About this role

Role Overview

Apply legal, eDiscovery, and privacy expertise to review and label sensitive legal documents for training next generation AI systems. This contract role focuses on identifying personal identifiable information and other confidential content, validating OCR outputs, and performing quality assurance to ensure data integrity in legal investigation and compliance workflows. No prior AI experience is required, your domain knowledge is the primary qualification. The work supports micro1, an AI data lab that converts real-world subject matter expertise into high-quality training data and evaluations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and annotate sensitive legal documents, identifying Personal Identifiable Information, confidential content, and privacy risks.
  • Apply contract review and eDiscovery expertise to ensure high quality and accurate data labeling.
  • Validate and confirm OCR outputs to maintain data integrity in legal investigation workflows.
  • Perform quality assurance checks and audits on document batches to verify compliance with regulatory and information governance standards.
  • Collaborate with compliance and legal technology teams to meet privacy and data handling requirements.
  • Stay current with best practices in privacy, digital forensics, and litigation support.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to cross functional teams.
Qualifications
  • Practical experience in contract review, quality assurance, eDiscovery, or compliance processes.
  • In depth understanding of Personal Identifiable Information and data privacy principles and regulations.
  • Background in one or more of the following roles, for example Paralegal, eDiscovery Specialist, Privacy Analyst, Information Governance Specialist, Compliance Manager, or Legal Document Review Lead.
  • Experience with legal document review, litigation support, or managed legal services, including handling sensitive data in high stakes environments.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
  • No prior AI or machine learning experience required.
Work Terms
