About this role

Role Overview

Legal professionals apply their legal knowledge to evaluate and refine AI systems so they better understand real-world legal tasks, language, and workflows. This role focuses on creating and assessing legal prompts, reviewing model outputs for accuracy and relevance, and helping shape how AI handles professional legal scenarios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop industry-specific prompts and test cases that reflect real legal tasks and terminology.
  • Evaluate large language model responses for accuracy, completeness, relevance, and adherence to legal norms.
  • Document errors, edge cases, and examples where model behavior diverges from professional standards.
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to improve model performance on legal scenarios.
  • Work asynchronously on assigned project tasks, independently managing time and deliverables.
Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in one or more of these roles: Legal Secretary or Administrative Assistant, Lawyer, Paralegal or Legal Assistant, Judicial Law Clerk, or similar legal roles.
  • Comfort working primarily asynchronously and independently, including collaboration with AI research teams or labs.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to document findings clearly, and familiarity with legal language and workflows.
Work Terms
  • Location: Remote, asynchronous work from any location.
  • Employment type: Part time.
  • Flexible schedule, with no minimum hourly commitment required.
  • Project placement is dependent on availability, the program runs year-round, and new project opportunities open periodically across different legal and industry areas.
Compensation

Up to $150/hr (depending on the project)

Eligibility
  • F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may qualify for projects, but must confirm eligibility with their Designated School Official. If a school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not satisfy that requirement.
  • STEM OPT is not supported for participation.
  • Refer to the program''s guidance or help resources to confirm which work authorizations are supported.
