Role Overview
Lawyers apply their legal expertise to evaluate AI-generated legal content and provide detailed feedback that improves AI understanding of legal analysis, statutory interpretation, case law reasoning, drafting standards, and professional legal communication. This is a project-based, part-time independent contractor role rather than a traditional law firm, in-house counsel, or government position, and it can be performed alongside your primary employment.
Key Responsibilities- Design job-related prompts and tasks that reflect real-world legal work.
- Review AI-generated responses for legal accuracy, sound legal reasoning, clarity, and relevance to practice.
- Provide precise, actionable feedback to help refine models and outputs, including notes on statutory interpretation, case law application, and drafting conventions.
- Follow written guidelines and use professional judgment to assess confidentiality and sensitivity concerns in outputs.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active or previously active law license in good standing.
- Professional experience practicing law in a firm, corporate, or government setting.
- Strong written communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Comfort working independently and following written instructions.
- Demonstrated professional judgment, reliability, and discretion when handling sensitive or proprietary information.
- No prior AI or technical experience required.
- Employment type: Part-time.
- Status: Independent contractor, not a full-time employee role.
- Location: Fully remote, work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection and access to a desktop or laptop computer.
- Schedule: Flexible and asynchronous, with no minimum hour requirement. Contributors commonly work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week when assigned to an active project.
- Program timing: Projects run year-round and open periodically across different areas of expertise. Placement on projects depends on current needs, and contributors may be considered for future assignments as they become available.
Up to $110/hr (depending on the project)
Eligibility- F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Consult your Designated School Official to determine eligibility.
- If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course for authorization, this program may not meet that requirement.
- STEM OPT is not supported.

- Browse and join projects that match your expertise, and complete any project-specific onboarding or training tasks.
- Begin performing assigned reviews and provide feedback on a per-project, hourly basis.
