Cantonese Language Evaluator

Role Overview

Help improve next-generation AI language systems by evaluating Cantonese content and providing high-quality linguistic feedback. This remote contract role focuses on the accuracy, fluency, and contextual appropriateness of Cantonese text and speech. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess Cantonese text and speech data for linguistic accuracy, fluency, and contextual appropriateness using internal evaluation tools.
• Provide detailed feedback on model outputs, identifying errors, ambiguities, and opportunities for improvement.
• Complete data annotation, labeling, and categorization assignments that support natural-language-processing development.
• Work with project leads to refine tasks, clarify evaluation criteria, and escalate complex linguistic cases when needed.
• Follow project guidelines and maintain consistent, high-quality deliverables.
• Document insights and recommendations to improve evaluation processes and system outputs.
• Conduct ad hoc linguistic quality reviews as project needs and priorities evolve.

Qualifications

• Native Cantonese proficiency, with strong written and spoken language skills.
• Experience in language evaluation, translation, linguistic annotation, or related language-technology projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and close attention to detail.
• An analytical approach and the ability to apply consistent evaluation criteria across varied language samples.
• Comfort using online platforms and digital tools to review and submit data.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and meet project deliverables efficiently.
• Experience with content moderation, transcription, or quality-assessment work is an advantage.

Work Terms

• Remote contract engagement.

Compensation

• $30 to $40 per hour.
