Role Overview
Apply advanced Excel and business intelligence expertise to help train next-generation AI systems through accurate, practical data analysis, reporting, and process improvement. This remote independent contractor role focuses on turning real-world business questions and data into high-quality inputs that support how AI models learn, reason, and perform. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Use advanced Excel to structure, analyze, and present data for AI model training.
- Partner with the customer team to understand project objectives and deliver useful business intelligence solutions.
- Clean, prepare, and validate large datasets to maintain accuracy and integrity for AI-system use.
- Develop and document BI workflows and processes, communicating clearly in writing and verbally.
- Translate business questions and requirements into actionable data insights and input that supports model improvement.
- Create detailed Excel reports, dashboards, and visualizations for AI training initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to optimize and automate processes using Excel functions and add-ons.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of hands-on business intelligence or analytics experience, primarily focused on Excel.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including Power Query, PivotTables, VBA, data modeling, data analysis, reporting, visualization, and data cleaning and validation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex data insights to varied audiences.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing time and deliverables effectively.
- Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience preparing, cleaning, and validating large datasets for analytics or AI training.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to reliable, high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or data science projects through business intelligence work.
- Experience with process automation or optimization using Excel or related tools.
- Relevant business intelligence, analytics, or Excel certifications.
Work Terms
- Remote independent contractor engagement.
Compensation
- $40 to $50 per hour.
