Role Overview
Apply hands-on Autodesk Maya expertise to help improve next-generation AI systems through detailed, real-world creative and technical input. This remote contract role focuses on translating Maya workflows, tools, and best practices into high-quality evaluations, documentation, and feedback. Prior AI experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute detailed insights on Autodesk Maya workflows, tools, and best practices.
- Evaluate, annotate, and review 3D models, animations, and assets to support accurate data representation.
- Provide clear written and verbal feedback on software usability, feature effectiveness, and common challenges.
- Explain and curate best practices for 3D modeling, rigging, texturing, lighting, and rendering in Autodesk Maya.
- Assess sample files, tutorials, and user questions for relevance, accuracy, and completeness.
- Document Maya functions, shortcuts, and advanced techniques in accessible language for non-expert audiences.
- Troubleshoot common Maya issues and provide step-by-step solutions.
- Collaborate asynchronously with project coordinators to clarify requirements and deliverables.
Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of practical Autodesk Maya experience in a production or academic setting.
- Advanced knowledge of the Maya interface, tools, and industry workflows.
- Experience creating or reviewing 3D assets and documentation with strong attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with clarity and precision.
- Ability to explain complex concepts simply for a range of audiences.
- Interest in applying creative-domain expertise to AI-driven tools and future creative technologies.
