Biologist for AI Benchmark Development

Develop rigorous biology assessment content that helps benchmark AI capabilities. You will either create original multiple-choice questions or verify and improve existing questions across specialized biology domains.

Pharmaceutical manufacturing, industrial and synthetic biology, medical research and drug discovery, agricultural biology, environmental biology, and food biology.

• Create challenging, original multiple-choice questions that assess deep conceptual understanding rather than recall.
• Ensure every question is precise, unambiguous, self-contained, and includes all information needed to solve it.
• Assign a difficulty rating of Medium, introductory undergraduate; Hard, advanced undergraduate; or Expert, postgraduate and above.
• Provide one correct answer and nine plausible, subtly incorrect alternatives designed to challenge expert-level solvers.
• Write clear, concise step-by-step solutions with intermediate reasoning in Markdown.
• Include one to five academic references for each question from reputable sources, such as peer-reviewed journals and university repositories.
• For verification assignments, assess questions for clarity, completeness, precision, and solvability; make needed edits and document the rationale for each change.
• Submit authored questions for review.

• PhD or doctoral candidacy in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Neuroscience, or a closely related discipline.
• A master''s degree may be considered for candidates with exceptional depth in a specific biology subdomain.
• Strong command of graduate-level biological concepts, experimental design, and data interpretation.
• Research publications or laboratory experience in the biological sciences is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written English and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.

• Fully remote, asynchronous hourly engagement.
• Expected commitment of at least 10 hours per week.

$60 to $75 per hour.
