Role Overview
AI and Machine Learning Researchers apply deep expertise in machine learning and computer science research to evaluate AI-generated outputs and create expert-level training data that improves model understanding of advanced CS and AI/ML research and methodology. This is a part-time, hourly contract engagement that is fully remote and can be done alongside other professional or academic commitments.
Key Responsibilities- Assess AI-generated content for accuracy, relevance, and alignment with current computer science and AI/ML research.
- Create expert-level training data and annotations derived from your academic and research knowledge.
- Provide detailed feedback to help AI systems better represent cutting-edge research methods, findings, and terminology.
- Work independently and communicate findings and rationale clearly in written form for research teams.
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field from a top 100 U.S. university.
- Research background in one or more of the following areas: Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence; Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, or Neural and Evolutionary Computing; Robotics, Systems and Control, or Multiagent Systems.
- Familiarity with arxiv.org, especially the Computing Research Repository (cs).
- Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work asynchronously with distributed research teams.
- Part-time, hourly contract work, fully remote.
- Flexible, asynchronous schedule with no minimum hour requirement; most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week when participating in an active project.
