Role Overview
Private detectives and investigators apply investigative and analytical expertise to evaluate and improve AI model outputs related to investigative tasks, documentation, and evidence analysis. In this contract, part-time remote role you will create realistic prompts, assess model responses for accuracy and relevance, and provide clear, structured feedback that helps models better reflect investigative practice.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate AI-generated content for factual accuracy, relevance to investigative procedures, and appropriate use of terminology.
- Design and refine prompts that reflect real-world investigative scenarios and workflows.
- Provide clear, structured feedback to help models learn correct procedures, reporting formats, and professional language.
- Use your investigation experience to judge whether model outputs meet professional standards for evidence gathering, analysis, and reporting.
- Leverage knowledge of information sources and technology commonly used in investigations when assessing model responses.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as a private detective, investigator, or in a closely related investigative role.
- Practical experience gathering and analyzing information from multiple sources, including computer databases and public records, to solve cases or detect fraud.
- Experience documenting findings in detailed reports, and the ability to assess report quality and courtroom readiness, including when testimony would be necessary.
- Familiarity with advanced investigative technology and experience conducting undercover operations or other evidence-gathering techniques is strongly relevant.
- Strong written communication skills, able to produce concise, actionable feedback for model improvement.
- No prior AI development experience required, previous exposure to reviewing technical outputs is helpful.
- Engagement type, contract, part-time, remote, asynchronous.
- Flexible schedule with no minimum weekly commitment, most contributors average 5-20 hrs per assignment.
- Work typically involves both developing prompts that mirror your field and evaluating model responses against professional practice.
- Placement into specific projects depends on project availability, the program runs year-round and new project opportunities open periodically across areas of expertise.

Eligibility- F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate, consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
- If your school requires a CPT course, this program may not meet that requirement, and STEM OPT is not supported.
