This role offers an exciting opportunity for accounting professionals in the UK to leverage their expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition while contributing to a research project with a leading frontier AI lab. You will play a crucial role in analyzing complex accounting scenarios and providing high-quality training data for advanced AI systems.
Key Responsibilities- Create, review, and evaluate high-quality accounting scenarios.
- Analyze customer contracts, performance obligations, transaction price allocation, and revenue timing.
- Interpret accounting guidance and review financial statements.
- Evaluate revenue policies and apply technical accounting judgment in real-world contexts.
- Clearly explain revenue recognition conclusions and identify technical accounting issues.
- Hands-on experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- Background in revenue recognition, technical accounting, audit, accounting advisory, and financial reporting.
- Experience at one or more of the following firms: Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG, BDO, Grant Thornton, Forvis Mazars, RSM, Crowe, Evelyn Partners, or another leading accounting, audit, or advisory firm.
- Familiarity with contract review, revenue policy assessment, identifying performance obligations, variable consideration, and transaction price allocation.
- Experience in audit or advisory work involving complex revenue arrangements and financial reporting.
- Remote position.
- Available to work up to 40 hours per week.
- Hourly rate of £150 - £200.
- Must be based in the United Kingdom.
- Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
