Role Overview
Statistical modeling researchers apply advanced statistical theory, methodology, and applied modeling to produce expert-level training data and to evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance. This is a flexible, project-based, hourly engagement you can perform remotely alongside other commitments.
Key Responsibilities- Assess AI-generated statistical content for correctness, clarity, and relevance, using your research expertise.
- Create high-quality, expert-level training examples and annotations that reflect current statistical practice and theory.
- Provide detailed feedback to help AI systems better represent statistical methodology and research findings.
- Work independently and asynchronously with research teams, meeting project-specific guidelines and quality standards.
- No prior AI experience is required; emphasis is on domain expertise in statistics.
- PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Statistics, or a closely related field from a top 100 U.S. university.
- Research background in one or more of the following areas: statistical theory or methodology, statistical computation or machine learning, applied statistics or domain-specific statistical applications.
- Familiarity with arXiv, especially the Statistics repository (stat).
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work independently and asynchronously with distributed research teams.
- Location: Fully remote.
- Employment type: Part time, hourly contract work.
