About this role

Role Overview

Participate with your child in a Stanford University and Bocconi University research study that examines how smartphones and digital tools affect children and family well being. This one time study asks a parent and one child aged 9 to 13 to complete short online surveys, respond to brief text message questions, and install a parental control app on the child s phone for study purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete online surveys about your child, totaling about one hour of survey time overall
  • Respond to a few text message questions as prompted during the study
  • Install a parental control app on your child s smartphone for the study
  • Ensure the child you enroll completes two short online surveys and a few text message questions about how they feel
Qualifications
  • Parent or legal guardian of a child aged 9 to 13
  • Both you and the child must be willing to participate together
  • The child must have their own smartphone
  • Willingness to install and use a parental control app on the child s phone for the study
  • Located in the United States
Work Terms
  • Format, online surveys plus short text message check ins
  • Time commitment, about 1 hour of surveys overall
  • Engagement type, one time participation
  • Participation limited to one child per household, you may pick one child to participate with you
  • Location, remote within the United States
  • Timing, enrollment starting soon
Compensation

$120 flat fee, paid once upon completion of the study

Eligibility
  • Must be based in the United States
  • Parent or guardian of a child aged 9 to 13 who owns their own smartphone
  • Both parent and child must agree to take part together
  • Only one child per household may participate
