About this role
As a Senior Agent Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, shipping, and hardening production AI agents from start to finish. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that impacts the efficiency and reliability of AI systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design and ship production AI agents, focusing on orchestration, composition, and state management.
- Develop evaluation and reliability tooling for agents that operate thousands of times daily.
- Contribute to systems for capturing and retrieving institutional knowledge, including tribal knowledge, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and meeting-notes agents.
- Hands-on experience in shipping agents in production, whether through professional, open-source, or personal projects.
- Strong opinions on orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, Temporal, or custom DAG executors.
- Ability to reason about multi-agent composition, state shape, and potential failure modes.
- Experience in building evaluation stacks for agents at scale, including offline sets, canary testing, shadow deployments, and using LLMs as judges.
- Concrete thinking with a focus on named tools, real trade-offs, and specific regressions.
- Discussion of agent systems you have built, including orchestration approaches, build-vs-buy decisions, and framework trade-offs.
- Insights into composition and state management, including how agents trigger one another, state shape per interaction, and failure handling strategies.
- Evaluation and reliability methodologies, covering offline, online, and canary layers, along with concrete regression stories.
- Experiences with institutional knowledge systems you have built or admired, gaps in retrieval, and areas where knowledge tends to decay.
