About this role

This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with advanced financial intelligence systems designed for individual investors. As a Retail Investment Research Specialist, you will work closely with self-directed market participants who actively engage with equities and seek to enhance their decision-making capabilities. Your expertise will help train and evaluate AI systems that aim to replicate and enhance the thought processes of real-world investors, focusing on understanding market movements, evaluating opportunities, and improving investment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research stocks, sectors, and market trends using publicly available and professional tools (e.g., screeners, filings, TradingView, financial news).
  • Form and articulate investment theses, including entry/exit reasoning, catalysts, and risks.
  • Analyze price movements and market events, distinguishing between noise and meaningful signals.
  • Evaluate AI-generated insights, summaries, and recommendations for clarity, usefulness, and accuracy.
  • Provide feedback on whether outputs improve decision confidence or create confusion.
  • Simulate real-world investor workflows, including idea discovery, validation, and portfolio monitoring.
  • Identify gaps in reasoning, missing context, or misleading interpretations in AI outputs.
Qualifications
  • Active participation in public markets (equities, ETFs, or similar instruments).
  • Demonstrated habit of researching and tracking investments independently.
  • Ability to explain why a stock is moving or whether a move matters.
  • Strong intuition for market sentiment, narratives, and behavioral patterns.
  • Comfort using platforms such as Reddit, X (Twitter), Google Finance, Yahoo Finance, TradingView, or similar.
  • Clear written communication skills and ability to express investment reasoning.
What We’re Looking For
  • Individuals who have developed their own approach to investing—whether structured or evolving.
  • Investors who seek deeper insight and faster understanding, rather than surface-level summaries.
  • Strong curiosity about markets and a desire to continuously improve decision-making.
  • Ability to balance conviction with openness to new information.
Nice to Have
  • Experience using advanced tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or similar).
  • Familiarity with technical analysis, financial statements, or macroeconomic indicators.
  • Prior experience documenting trades, theses, or investment outcomes.
Why Join
  • Contribute to building AI systems that directly impact how millions of individuals invest.
  • Flexible, remote engagement (typically 10–20 hours per week).
  • Work at the intersection of real-world investing behavior and cutting-edge AI.
  • Opportunity to shape tools that make investment research faster, clearer, and more actionable.
