Renewable Energy Analyst for AI Research

Renewable Energy Analysts apply hands-on experience in generation analysis, forecasting, and REC markets to evaluate AI-generated content and produce expert analytical outputs that improve AI understanding of renewable energy workflows and environmental markets practices.

• Evaluate AI-generated text, data outputs, and workflows against real-world renewable energy practices, providing clear, actionable feedback.
• Independently produce expert-level analytical work and data deliverables using the tools and workflows from your professional practice.
• Complete structured, project-based tasks that reflect real work activities, for example building price forecast models or developing Power Purchase Agreement documentation.
• Perform domain workflows such as renewable generation forecasting and performance reporting, Renewable Generation Forecast Production, and Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) verification and retirement.

• At least 2 years of professional experience in renewable energy generation, forecasting, or environmental markets in roles such as Renewable Generation Performance Analyst, Renewable Asset Forecasting Analyst, REC / Environmental Markets Analyst, or equivalent energy industry positions.
• Bachelor''s degree or higher required.
• Ability to independently produce work using one or more tools from professional practice, for example WREGIS or AVEVA PI.
• Proven experience with workflows including renewable generation forecasting and performance reporting, Renewable Generation Forecast Production, and REC verification and retirement.
• Strong written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously.

• Engagement type, part-time hourly contract work, performed fully remotely.
• Flexible, asynchronous schedule with no minimum hour requirement; contributors typically work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week when participating in an active project.
• This is an ongoing, project-based engagement that can be done alongside research, teaching, postdoctoral work, or industry employment.
• Placement on specific projects depends on current project needs, with opportunities to be considered for future projects as they become available.

• Up to $80/hr (depending on the project).

• F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate, but you must confirm eligibility with your Designated School Official. If your school requires a CPT course enrollment, this engagement may not meet that requirement.
• STEM OPT is not supported for participation in these projects.

• Create a contributor profile on the program portal.

• Onboard into relevant projects through project-specific orientation and any required task training.
• Begin performing assigned tasks for active projects and receive payment for completed work.
