About this role

Role Overview

Quantitative Finance researchers apply mathematical and computational finance expertise to create expert-level training data and to evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, relevance, and methodological soundness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use deep knowledge of mathematical finance, risk modeling, and quantitative methods to assess AI-generated content.
  • Create and annotate expert training data derived from academic research and rigorous quantitative methods.
  • Provide clear, detailed feedback to improve AI understanding of quantitative finance research and methodology.
  • Work independently and asynchronously with research teams to review, score, and comment on model outputs.
Qualifications
  • PhD or Master degree in Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Financial Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Familiarity with arxiv.org, especially the Quantitative Finance repository (q-fin).
  • Research experience or coursework in one or more of: computational or mathematical finance, portfolio management, risk management, statistical finance, trading, or market microstructure.
  • Strong written communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to work independently in an asynchronous environment.
  • No prior AI experience required.
Work Terms
  • Engagement is part-time, hourly contract work, structured as independent-contractor contributions rather than a traditional full-time position.
  • Fully remote, with a flexible, asynchronous schedule and no minimum hour requirement.
  • Typical active participation ranges from approximately 5 to 20 hours per week, depending on project involvement.
  • Ongoing, project-based participation that can be taken alongside other commitments.
  • Placement on specific projects depends on current needs; contributors may be considered for future projects as they become available.
Compensation

Up to $50/hr (depending on the project)

Eligibility
  • F-1 students with eligible CPT or OPT authorization may qualify to participate, subject to your school policies.
  • Confirm eligibility with your Designated School Official, because if your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not satisfy that requirement.
  • STEM OPT is not supported for this opportunity.
