Role Overview
Quantitative Finance Researchers apply advanced mathematical finance, risk modeling, and quantitative methods to evaluate AI-generated content and produce expert-level training data that improves AI understanding of quantitative finance research and methodology.
Key Responsibilities- Review and evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy, relevance, and adherence to quantitative finance standards.
- Create expert-level training examples and annotations grounded in current research and best practices.
- Apply domain knowledge from mathematical finance, risk modeling, and quantitative methods to critique and guide model outputs.
- Document feedback clearly in writing so research teams can incorporate corrections and refinements.
- Work independently and asynchronously with remote AI research teams while meeting project-specific guidelines and deadlines.
- Master''s or PhD in Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Financial Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with arxiv.org, especially the Quantitative Finance repository (q-fin).
- Research experience or coursework in one or more of: Computational Finance, Mathematical Finance, Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Statistical Finance, Trading and Market Microstructure.
- Strong written communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and asynchronously with research teams.
- No prior AI experience required; domain expertise and research judgment are the primary requirements.
- Remote, part-time, hourly contract engagement that can be done alongside other commitments.
- Flexible, asynchronous schedule with no minimum hour requirement; most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week when participating in an active project.
- Placement on specific projects depends on current project needs. Contributors may be considered for future projects as they become available.
- Up to $50/hr (depending on the project), paid on an hourly contract basis.
- F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible for projects. Work with your Designated School Official to determine your eligibility.
- If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this contract work may not meet that requirement.
- STEM OPT is not supported for this engagement.
- Create an account on the engagement portal and complete the required identity verification.
- Express interest in relevant projects and complete any short, project-specific onboarding steps required for participation.
- Begin assigned tasks and submit work according to project instructions to receive hourly pay.
