About this role

Role Overview

Physics master’s students and graduates apply their training to evaluate AI-generated physics and math content, improving models'' physical reasoning, mathematical modeling, and technical problem solving through detailed feedback.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design domain-relevant, mathematically rigorous questions and prompts that test physical reasoning and modeling skills.
  • Review AI-generated responses for correctness, logical consistency, and mathematical rigor.
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to help improve model outputs on technical physics problems.
  • Document errors, edge cases, and common failure modes in AI responses.
Qualifications
  • Current master’s students or graduates in Physics or closely related fields, for example Applied Physics, Astrophysics, or Engineering Physics.
  • Strong background in physical reasoning, mathematical modeling, and analytical problem solving.
  • Comfort working with mathematical derivations and technical explanations. No prior AI or machine-learning experience required.
Work Terms
  • Engagement type: part-time, hourly contract work conducted remotely.
  • Schedule: flexible and asynchronous, with no minimum hour requirement.
  • Typical commitment when active on a project: approximately 5 to 20 hours per week.
  • This is not a traditional academic or full-time role and can be done alongside coursework, research, teaching, or industry employment.
  • Placement on specific projects depends on current project needs; contributors may be considered for future projects as opportunities arise.
Compensation
  • Pay rate: Up to $50/hr (depending on the project).
Eligibility
  • F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm whether this work meets your school’s CPT or OPT requirements.
  • If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this type of contract work may not satisfy that requirement.
  • STEM OPT is not supported for this engagement.
Application Process
  • Create an account on the program platform and complete the required identity verification.
  • Enroll in and complete onboarding for projects that match your background.
  • Begin reviewing tasks and submitting feedback for pay once onboarded to a project.
