About this role

Role Overview

ParaView specialists apply hands-on experience with scientific visualization, fluid dynamics simulation, and large dataset analysis to evaluate AI-generated outputs and provide targeted feedback that improves models handling computational science and high performance computing workflows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate AI-generated visualizations, analysis steps, and text summaries derived from ParaView workflows and large simulation datasets.
  • Provide detailed, domain-specific feedback to help AI systems better understand computational science tasks, visualization conventions, and HPC data handling.
  • Develop and test domain-specific prompts and prompts for large language models, and assess LLM responses for technical correctness and usefulness.
  • Work asynchronously with research teams to review tasks, submit evaluations, and iterate on guidance for model improvements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience using ParaView or closely related scientific visualization tools.
  • Practical background in one or more of the following, demonstrated by prior work or projects: scientific visualization, fluid dynamics simulation, analysis of large datasets, or HPC workflows.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate findings clearly in writing while collaborating asynchronously with AI research teams.
Work Terms
  • Engagement type: Part-time, hourly contract work as an independent contractor.
  • Location: Remote, fully asynchronous work allowed.
  • Schedule: Flexible hours with no minimum weekly commitment required.
  • Project placement: Assignment to specific projects depends on project availability and matching of skills to project needs.
Compensation

Up to $125/hr (depending on the project).

Eligibility
  • F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
  • If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this platform-based engagement may not satisfy that requirement.
  • STEM OPT is not supported for these project roles.
