Role Overview

Help evaluate how frontier AI systems handle radiological safety and misuse-risk questions. This writing-intensive, per-task role focuses on distinguishing legitimate technical requests from dual-use and adversarial scenarios, so models can provide appropriate professional support while declining genuinely dangerous requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Create challenging single-turn prompts in your specialty, categorized as benign, dual-use, or adversarial.
• Assess model responses against a defined policy standard and determine whether each response was handled correctly.
• Develop reference answers that show the appropriate response and explain the underlying technical reasoning.
• Write clear rationales that non-specialists can understand.

Qualifications

Relevant experience includes producing or handling medical isotopes and applying radiological safety judgment in real custody, treatment, production, or licensing contexts. Strong backgrounds may include:

• Nuclear medicine or radiopharmacy physics, including therapy dosimetry, I-131, Lu-177, Y-90, and patient release criteria.
• Cyclotron or radiochemistry facility radiation safety work, including target handling, PET isotope production, and hot-cell operations.
• Medical physics involving brachytherapy source custody, HDR or LDR sources, inventory, and source exchange.
• Radiopharmaceutical production and quality control under GMP or an equivalent quality system.
• Support for an Authorised Medical Physicist or Authorised User under a medical radioactive materials licence.
• Red-teaming experience is preferred.
• Technical writing, published research, or expert witness experience is strongly valued. Include a writing sample or link with your application.

Work Terms

• Remote, per-task engagement.
• The work involves reading and writing about misuse scenarios in radiological safety for sustained periods. You will be briefed in advance and may pause or step away at any time without penalty.

Compensation

Pay is 65 to 75 per task.
