Role Overview
Apply clinical expertise in military and veteran mental health to help improve AI systems used in mental health contexts. This remote contract role centers on providing accurate, culturally informed input drawn from direct patient-care experience. No prior AI experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate mental health materials, case studies, and simulated patient interactions involving military personnel and veterans.
- Provide expert analysis to improve AI understanding of clinical best practices, diagnostic processes, trauma and PTSD assessment, and therapeutic interventions.
- Create, edit, and curate prompts, responses, and scenarios reflecting real-world challenges faced by military and veteran patients.
- Identify relevant terminology, cultural considerations, and communication techniques for effective mental health support.
- Participate in virtual discussions and consultations to align on project goals and share clinical perspectives.
- Document findings, recommendations, and improvement opportunities clearly and accessibly.
- Ensure all work meets high standards for clinical accuracy, relevance, cultural competence, and sensitivity to service members'' and veterans'' needs.
Qualifications
- Completed psychiatry residency as a medical doctor, or a completed PhD in psychology.
- Demonstrated direct patient-care experience with military and/or veteran populations.
- Clinical psychology or psychiatry expertise, including trauma, PTSD, traumatic brain injury, adjustment disorders, and other conditions prevalent among service members.
- Experience developing or reviewing clinical content, training materials, or assessment tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex clinical concepts to varied audiences.
- Strong attention to detail, clinical accuracy, cultural competence, adaptability, and interest in technology-driven mental health solutions.
Work Terms
- Remote contract engagement.
- Virtual discussions or consultative sessions may be part of the work.
Compensation
$100 to $200 per hour.
