Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy AI/ML solutions centered on LLMs using Python and AWS infrastructure.
  • Architect scalable, high-performance APIs and microservices with FastAPI.
  • Integrate LangChain and advanced AI frameworks to support innovative model-interaction capabilities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to translate quantitative problem statements into actionable engineering solutions.
  • Apply mathematics, statistics, or physics expertise to improve model performance, interpretability, and reliability.
  • Maintain strong standards for code quality, documentation, and peer review.
  • Clearly communicate technical concepts and project progress in writing and discussion.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree or demonstrated expertise in mathematics, quantitative sciences, statistics, or physics.
  • Expert-level Python proficiency for AI/ML engineering.
  • Hands-on experience deploying, fine-tuning, and integrating LLMs.
  • Strong experience with AWS services and cloud-native machine learning workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience using LangChain to chain LLMs and orchestrate multi-step reasoning.
  • Solid knowledge of FastAPI for scalable API development.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering AI/ML solutions at production scale.
  • Publications or open-source contributions in AI/ML, applied mathematics, or computational science.
  • Familiarity with advanced prompt engineering or AI safety practices.

Work Terms

  • Full-time, remote role.

Compensation

  • Stated compensation range: $400, 000 to $800, 000 annually.
  • National base-salary range: $200, 000 to $260, 000 USD annually.
  • Eligible for equity compensation and, depending on role and company policy, performance-based bonuses.
  • Benefits include up to 100% reimbursement of health-insurance premiums, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with company match, and additional remote-workforce benefits.
