Role Overview
Build and optimize advanced AI systems that use large language models to create scalable, high-impact products. You will work with a fast-paced engineering team to turn complex mathematical, statistical, and physics-based problems into practical AI/ML solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy AI/ML solutions centered on LLMs using Python and AWS infrastructure.
- Architect scalable, high-performance APIs and microservices with FastAPI.
- Integrate LangChain and advanced AI frameworks to support innovative model-interaction capabilities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate quantitative problem statements into actionable engineering solutions.
- Apply mathematics, statistics, or physics expertise to improve model performance, interpretability, and reliability.
- Maintain strong standards for code quality, documentation, and peer review.
- Clearly communicate technical concepts and project progress in writing and discussion.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree or demonstrated expertise in mathematics, quantitative sciences, statistics, or physics.
- Expert-level Python proficiency for AI/ML engineering.
- Hands-on experience deploying, fine-tuning, and integrating LLMs.
- Strong experience with AWS services and cloud-native machine learning workflows.
- Demonstrated experience using LangChain to chain LLMs and orchestrate multi-step reasoning.
- Solid knowledge of FastAPI for scalable API development.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering AI/ML solutions at production scale.
- Publications or open-source contributions in AI/ML, applied mathematics, or computational science.
- Familiarity with advanced prompt engineering or AI safety practices.
Work Terms
- Full-time, remote role.
Compensation
- Stated compensation range: $400, 000 to $800, 000 annually.
- National base-salary range: $200, 000 to $260, 000 USD annually.
- Eligible for equity compensation and, depending on role and company policy, performance-based bonuses.
