Role Overview
Geoscientists apply field and interpretive expertise to evaluate AI-generated geology content, identify inaccuracies, and provide targeted feedback that improves models'' understanding of geologic concepts, workflows, and technical language.
Key Responsibilities- Design job-related questions and prompts drawing on real-world geoscience practice.
- Review AI-generated responses for technical accuracy, relevance, and alignment with standard geologic investigation, interpretation, and reporting workflows.
- Provide clear, detailed feedback and corrections that reflect professional standards and industry practices.
- Follow written guidelines and complete review tasks independently and reliably.
- No prior AI or technical experience is required; work relies on your geoscience subject-matter knowledge.
- 4+ years of professional experience as a Geologist or in a closely related geoscience role.
- Hands-on experience conducting field investigations, interpreting geologic data, and preparing technical reports or deliverables.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to exercise professional judgment, maintain reliability, and handle sensitive or proprietary information with discretion.
- Relevant backgrounds include, but are not limited to, consulting, industry, government, research, exploration geology for mining or oil and gas or energy transition, environmental or engineering geology, and hydrogeology or other applied geoscience roles with substantial field and interpretive responsibilities.
- Status: Independent contractor, engaged on an hourly contract basis.
- Employment type: Part-time, project-based work rather than a full-time field or consulting role.
- Location: Fully remote, work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection and access to a desktop or laptop computer.
- Schedule: Flexible and asynchronous, with no minimum hour requirement. Many contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week when assigned to an active project.
- Duration and availability: The program runs year-round and projects open periodically across areas of expertise. Placement on projects depends on current project needs; apply once and, if qualified, you may be considered for future projects as they become available.

- F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Work with your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility. If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not satisfy that requirement.
- STEM OPT is not supported.
