Geological Technicians use field and technical expertise to evaluate AI-generated content and provide feedback grounded in real-world geological workflows, data collection, and technical practices.
Key Responsibilities- Create job-related questions using professional geological technician or geoscience experience.
- Review AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance to real-world geological work.
- Provide detailed feedback that improves AI understanding of fieldwork, sampling, data collection, logging, and technical practices.
- 4+ years of professional experience as a Geological Technician or in a closely related geoscience technical role.
- Hands-on experience supporting geological fieldwork, sampling, data collection, logging, or technical analysis.
- Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and follow written guidelines.
- Professional judgment, reliability, and discretion when handling sensitive or proprietary information.
- No prior AI or technical experience is required.
- Independent contractor engagement, not a full-time employee role.
- Fully remote, with a reliable internet connection and access to a desktop or laptop computer.
- Flexible, asynchronous schedule with no minimum hourly commitment. Contributors commonly work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week while assigned to an active project.
- Projects open periodically throughout the year across areas of expertise. Assignment depends on current project needs, and qualified applicants may be considered for future part-time, project-based work.
Up to $75/hr (depending on the project).
Eligibility- F-1 students eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible for projects. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
- If your school requires a CPT course, this work may not meet your school's requirements.
- STEM OPT is not supported.
