About this role
Role Overview
This role evaluates whether individual finance workflows and tasks reflect real, professional practice in trading, derivatives, and crypto. You will apply your domain experience and professional judgment to judge task realism, identify missing or impractical assumptions, and give concise, actionable feedback that improves how the work measures real finance capability. The engagement is high intensity, confidential, and focused on workflow realism rather than producing trading outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Review individual finance tasks and workflows for professional realism, clarity, scope, and internal consistency.
- Assess whether task inputs, context, and expected workflows match how the work is actually performed in the relevant domain.
- Identify missing assumptions, ambiguous instructions, unsupported requirements, impractical constraints, and material edge cases.
- Flag tasks that are too broad, too generic, or unlikely to produce meaningful signals of real finance capability.
- Provide concise, structured written feedback and targeted recommendations to improve task realism.
- When necessary, cross-check task logic with trusted domain peers to maintain a high standard across the sprint.
- Practitioner track: 5 to 9 years of relevant trading experience, or 5 to 8 years of relevant crypto experience.
- Senior reviewer track: 7 to 15 years of relevant experience.
- Professional background in one or more of these areas, derivatives trading, volatility, FX, futures, market making, systematic execution, crypto, DeFi, or market structure.
- Strong quantitative reasoning and practical understanding of pricing, hedging, liquidity, and risk.
- Ability to distinguish theoretical correctness from executable, market-aware analysis.
- Excellent written communication, with the ability to explain not only whether something is correct, but why.
- High attention to detail and sound professional judgment, comfortable evaluating work against explicit standards.
- For senior reviewers, experience reviewing analysts, approving work, designing controls, or setting quality standards is especially valuable.
- Start window: the sprint begins within the next 24 hours; apply only if you can begin quickly and commit for the sprint.
- Duration and intensity: this is a focused Finance Sprint over approximately the next week, requiring active engagement throughout.
- Time commitment: tasks may require multi-hour sessions in one sitting, typically around 2 to 4 hours per task.
- Communication requirements: keep Slack notifications on and respond to project updates, questions, and feedback within the day.
- Offers are made on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Task content is confidential and may vary during the sprint.
Hourly pay range: 180 to 235 hourly.
Application & Eligibility- Apply as soon as possible if you meet the experience requirements and can commit to the start and engagement expectations described above.
- Offers will be allocated first-come, first-served, so timely application is required.
- This is a workflow-realism evaluation engagement. By applying you confirm you can participate in the sprint start window and meet the response and availability requirements.
