Excess & Specialty Insurance Underwriter for SME Accounts

Join a dynamic team as an expert in Excess & Specialty Insurance, focusing on SME and commercial accounts. This role offers the opportunity to leverage your underwriting expertise in a remote setting, contributing to impactful projects in the insurance sector.

• Provide underwriting expertise for SME/commercial accounts in the Excess & Specialty Insurance market.
• Engage in risk selection, pricing, coverage structuring, and portfolio management.

• Must be based in the United States.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Excess & Specialty Insurance underwriting (5+ years preferred).
• Direct experience in underwriting SME/commercial risks.
• Strong understanding of risk selection, pricing, coverage structuring, and portfolio management.

Preferred experience includes:

• Excess Casualty
• Professional Liability
• Management Liability
• Cyber
• Environmental
• Excess Property
• E&S General Liability
• Construction or Transportation specialty risks

• Initial pilot engagement with 4 experts.
• Duration of 1 week.
• Commitment of approximately 20 hours per expert.
• Potential for follow-on work and larger engagements.

Hourly rate between $90 and $110.
