About this role

Role Overview

Apply your licensed electrical engineering experience to evaluate and improve how AI systems understand and reason about electrical engineering. You will review technical content for accuracy, provide domain-specific answers and feedback, and share practical insights about engineering tools, workflows, and standards to help make AI outputs more reliable and useful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate written content and AI-generated responses in electrical engineering for technical accuracy and quality.
  • Answer domain-specific questions with clear, well-reasoned explanations based on professional experience.
  • Identify and recommend useful reference materials relevant to electrical engineering topics.
  • Describe real-world engineering practices, including tools, workflows, and standards used in everyday work.
  • Collaborate with a small group of subject-matter experts across related fields to improve AI outputs.
Qualifications
  • Degree-qualified electrical engineer with a United States Professional Engineer, PE, license.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional electrical engineering experience, ideally spanning multiple areas such as power systems, controls, electronics, or signal processing.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards, for example NEC and IEEE.
  • Experience with common engineering tools such as MATLAB, AutoCAD Electrical, SPICE, or similar.
  • Some experience writing technical documentation, specifications, or training materials is a plus.
  • Comfortable using everyday AI tools, for example ChatGPT or similar.
  • Professional working English.
Work Terms
  • Part-time, flexible engagement, approximately 10 hours per week, fully remote.
  • Based in the United States, with reliable availability to meet the weekly commitment of about 10 hours.
  • Hourly employment, paid on a W-2 basis through an employer-of-record staffing firm that handles payroll, benefits, and compliance, while placing employees within client teams.
  • Opportunity to continue and expand the role over time based on performance and project availability.
Compensation
  • Hourly pay range: $65 to $90 per hour.
Eligibility
  • Must be based in the United States.
  • Must hold a United States Professional Engineer, PE, license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional electrical engineering experience.
  • Able to commit reliably to approximately 10 hours per week.
