About this role
As a Contract & Commercial Expert, you will play a pivotal role in advancing frontier agent evaluations in commercial law by developing long-horizon contracting tasks. These tasks will be designed to reflect your existing expertise and will include a deterministic rubric to assess agent performance against verifiable ground truth. Your work will focus on creating scenarios with checkable answers, avoiding subjective judgments.

- Review and Negotiation: Handle redlines that resolve to pre-defined fallback positions as outlined in a playbook.
- Post-Signature Work: Conduct obligation extractions with a ground-truth list and classify clauses against a defined taxonomy.
These scenarios will be intellectually challenging and require extended periods of focused work.
Qualifications- Juris Doctor (JD) with 3+ years of experience in commercial or transactional law, either in-house or at a firm.
- Bar admission in at least one US state or equivalent foreign qualification.
- Expertise in areas such as SaaS commercial terms, data protection (GDPR, CCPA, DPAs), IP and licensing, indemnity and limitation-of-liability structures, and CLM tooling (e.g., Ironclad, Agiloft, LinkSquares, DocuSign CLM).
- Ability to read and produce contract artifacts including redlines, playbook entries, abstraction summaries, and fallback positions.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to articulate reasoning clearly and encode it into deterministic rubrics.
- Must be located in the United States.
