As a Building Code Compliance Expert, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards of safety and compliance. This remote position allows you to utilize your extensive knowledge of building codes and proficiency in blueprint reading to uphold industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive reviews of architectural and engineering plans to verify building code compliance.
- Interpret, analyze, and comment on blueprints and project documentation for regulatory adherence.
- Advise project teams on code-related challenges and provide actionable recommendations.
- Stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal building codes, and communicate regulatory changes to stakeholders.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve compliance issues.
- Deliver clear, concise written and verbal reports on compliance status and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Support the continuous improvement of internal code compliance processes and best practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in building codes and related regulations (local, state, and federal).
- Proficient in detailed plan review and blueprint reading.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Extensive experience working with construction documents and compliance reports.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while managing multiple assignments.
- Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional project teams.
- Relevant certifications such as ICC, NFPA, or state-issued licenses.
- Experience in remote code compliance consulting or virtual inspections.
- Background in mentoring or training other professionals in compliance best practices.
Contract position, remote work available for candidates located in the US.
Compensation:Hourly rate ranges from $50 to $80.
