About this role

Role Overview

Biology experts apply their subject-matter knowledge to design domain-specific prompts, evaluate large language model outputs, and help improve AI understanding across biology subfields. This part-time, remote role involves primarily asynchronous work on research projects that run year-round, with placement dependent on project availability in specific domains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and refine domain-specific prompts and test cases for large language models
  • Evaluate and annotate LLM responses for scientific accuracy, clarity, and usefulness
  • Research biological topics with the assistance of AI tools and synthesize findings into assessments
  • Contribute tasks and feedback that help advance the scientific and language capabilities of AI models
  • Work as part of a small, selective cohort on each project, collaborating with research teams as needed
Qualifications
  • Masters students, candidates, or graduates in Biology
  • Comfortable doing primarily asynchronous work and collaborating with AI research teams
  • Confident that your domain expertise exceeds current AI systems in explaining key biological concepts
  • Eagerness to learn new skills and contribute to AI research across related disciplines
  • Selection for individual projects is competitive and limited to small cohorts chosen for disciplinary and research expertise
Work Terms
  • Location: Remote, asynchronous work from any location
  • Employment type: Part-time
  • Flexible hours, with no minimum weekly commitment
  • Project placement is available year-round but varies by domain and by project availability
Compensation

Up to $55/hr (depending on the project)
