Environmental Health and Safety Specialist for AI Evaluation

Environmental Health and Safety Specialists apply hands-on EHS experience to evaluate AI-generated content, using real-world knowledge of safety programs, inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and compliance to improve how AI models understand and respond to workplace EHS tasks and regulations.

• Review AI-generated EHS content and assess accuracy, relevance, and practical applicability to real-world EHS work.
• Design job-related questions, scenarios, and evaluation prompts grounded in practical EHS tasks and regulations.
• Provide detailed, professionally informed feedback to help refine AI outputs for safety, environmental compliance, and operational procedures.
• Apply professional judgment while maintaining confidentiality when evaluating sensitive or proprietary information.

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Environmental Health and Safety or closely related specialist or coordinator roles.
• Direct, hands-on experience conducting inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and supporting safety or environmental compliance activities.
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working independently and following written guidelines.
• Reliability, professional judgment, and a high standard of discretion and confidentiality.
• No prior AI or technical experience is required.

• Engagement type: Independent contractor, part-time, project-based work rather than a traditional full-time EHS position.
• Location: Fully remote, work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection and access to a desktop or laptop computer.
• Schedule: Flexible and asynchronous. There is no minimum hour requirement. Many contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week when assigned to an active project.
• Duration and availability: The program runs year-round with projects opening periodically across different EHS areas. Placement on projects depends on current needs, and qualified contributors may be considered for future projects as they become available.
• This work can be done alongside primary employment.

• Pay rate: Up to $80/hr (depending on the project)

• F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Work with your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility. If your school requires a CPT course enrollment, this program may not satisfy that requirement.
• STEM OPT is not supported for this program.
• You must be authorized to work under the applicable rules for your visa or residency status. Review program guidance or help documentation for details on supported work authorizations.

• Create an account in the program portal and complete the required profile information.
• Complete identity verification as instructed to confirm eligibility.
• Onboard into relevant EHS projects when they become available and complete any project-specific orientation or training.
• Begin assigned work, submit evaluations and feedback, and receive payment according to the contractor terms.
