About this role

Environmental Health and Safety specialists use practical safety, assessment, and compliance experience to evaluate AI generated content and provide feedback grounded in real workplace practices and regulations.

Role Overview

This is a part-time, project-based independent contractor engagement, not a traditional full-time EHS position. It can be performed alongside primary employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design job-related questions based on real-world Environmental Health and Safety work.
  • Review AI generated responses for accuracy and relevance to EHS tasks, regulations, and workplace practices.
  • Apply experience implementing safety programs, conducting assessments, and supporting compliance activities.
Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in Environmental Health and Safety or closely related specialist or coordinator roles.
  • Experience conducting inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, and supporting safety or environmental compliance activities.
  • Strong written communication, attention to detail, independent work habits, and ability to follow written guidelines.
  • Professional judgment, reliability, and discretion when handling sensitive or proprietary information.
  • No prior AI or technical experience is required.
  • Relevant backgrounds include EHS Specialist, Health and Safety Specialist, Safety Professional, HSE Specialist, Environmental Specialist with EHS responsibilities, EHS Coordinator, and Occupational Health and Safety professional.
Work Terms
  • Fully remote work, requiring reliable internet access and a desktop or laptop computer.
  • Flexible, asynchronous schedule with no minimum hourly commitment.
  • Contributors assigned to active projects often work about 5 to 20 hours per week.
  • Projects open periodically throughout the year across areas of expertise. Assignment depends on current project needs, and qualified applicants may be considered for future projects.
Compensation

Up to $80/hr (depending on the project)

Eligibility

F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible. Consult your Designated School Official to determine eligibility. If your school requires a CPT course, this work may not satisfy its requirements. STEM OPT is not supported.
