About this role

Role Overview

Financial Advisors apply their professional financial and credit expertise to evaluate AI model outputs and improve how models handle real-world financial counseling, debt management, and client communication. No prior AI experience is required. This is an hourly, temporary, project-based engagement that can be done alongside your primary employment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and evaluate AI-generated responses, prompts, and content related to financial advising and credit counseling.
  • Assess how well model outputs reflect real-world practices for analyzing client finances, creating budgets, and recommending debt management strategies.
  • Create clear, structured feedback to guide improvements in model behavior and domain understanding.
  • Develop prompts and test cases that reflect typical financial advising scenarios, then evaluate model responses for accuracy, clarity, and appropriateness.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations and feedback you submit.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in financial advising, credit counseling, or closely related work.
  • Relevant practical experience may include tasks such as evaluating clients financial situations by reviewing income, debts, and expenses to develop personalized debt management plans and budgets.
  • Experience explaining financial services, policies, and strategies, including debt management programs and creditor negotiations, to help clients achieve stability and avoid bankruptcy or foreclosure.
  • Experience maintaining detailed records of client interactions and financial activities.
  • Ability to work asynchronously in collaboration with AI research teams.
Work Terms
  • Remote, asynchronous work; complete tasks independently from your location.
  • Part-time, flexible hours with no enforced minimum commitment, though most contributors average 5 to 20 hours per week.
  • Ongoing, project-based engagement that runs year-round, with new project opportunities opening periodically across different topic areas.
  • Placement into specific projects depends on project availability, you may apply now and be matched to a later project when openings arise.
Compensation
  • Up to $75/hr (depending on the project)
Eligibility
  • F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate, but you must confirm eligibility with your Designated School Official. If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not satisfy that requirement.
  • STEM OPT is not supported for this work.
