Role Overview
Environmental Health & Safety professionals can apply their field expertise to AI research by evaluating AI-generated content and providing feedback on EHS work, compliance, and safety practices. This is a flexible, part-time, project-based independent contractor engagement, not a full-time employee role.
Key Responsibilities
- Use real-world EHS or environmental engineering experience to develop job-related questions.
- Review AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance to environmental health, safety, compliance, and related practices.
- Provide clear feedback that improves AI understanding of professional EHS work.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional experience in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Experience with accident investigation, safety training, regulatory compliance, and product safety evaluation.
- Strong written communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently while following written guidelines.
- Professional judgment, reliability, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive or proprietary information.
- Relevant backgrounds include EHS Manager or Lead, Safety Engineer, Risk Assessment Engineer, Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, Environmental Compliance Manager or Specialist, Industrial Safety Consultant, and HSE Advisor.
- No prior AI or technical experience is required.
Work Terms
- Independent contractor engagement, fully remote, with a reliable internet connection and access to a desktop or laptop computer required.
- Flexible, asynchronous schedule with no minimum-hour requirement. Contributors assigned to an active project often work approximately 5, 20 hours per week.
- Apply once. Qualified applicants may be considered for part-time projects as they become available.
- Projects open periodically across areas of expertise, and placement depends on current project needs. Eligible applicants may also be considered for future projects.
Compensation
Up to $100/hr (depending on the project).
Eligibility
- F-1 students eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible for projects. Consult your Designated School Official to determine eligibility.
- If your school requires a CPT course, this engagement may not meet your school's requirements.
- STEM OPT is not supported.
