About this role

Role Overview

Environmental Health & Safety professionals apply their field expertise to evaluate and improve AI-generated content about workplace safety, regulatory compliance, accident investigation, and environmental practices. In this part-time, contract role you will create job-related questions and assess AI responses for technical accuracy and real-world relevance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design job-focused prompts and scenarios that reflect real EHS tasks and decision points.
  • Review AI-generated answers for correctness, applicability, regulatory alignment, and practical safety implications.
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to improve AI understanding of EHS work, compliance, and safety best practices.
  • Exercise professional judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive or proprietary materials.
Qualifications
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related role.
  • Experience in roles such as EHS Manager or Lead, Safety Engineer, Risk Assessment Engineer, Occupational Health and Safety Specialist, Environmental Compliance Manager or Specialist, Industrial Safety Consultant, or HSE Advisor.
  • Hands-on practice with accident investigation, safety training, regulatory compliance, and product safety evaluation.
  • Strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently following written guidelines.
  • Professional reliability, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • No prior AI or technical experience is required.
  • Apply once; if qualified, you will be considered for part-time, project-based assignments as new projects become available.
Work Terms
  • Engagement type, independent contractor, not a full-time employee role.
  • Fully remote work, from anywhere with a reliable internet connection and access to a desktop or laptop computer.
  • Schedule is flexible and asynchronous, there is no minimum hours requirement.
  • Typical contributor workload when assigned to an active project is approximately 5 to 20 hours per week, though actual hours vary by project.
  • The program runs year-round, with projects opening periodically across different EHS areas, placement depends on current project needs, and there are opportunities to be considered for future projects as they arise.
Compensation

Up to $100/hr (depending on the project)

Eligibility
  • F-1 students eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible for project work, but you must confirm eligibility with your Designated School Official. If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not meet that requirement.
  • STEM OPT is not supported for these projects.
