Role Overview
Design, implement, and validate competitive programming problems and automated checkers that train and evaluate next-generation AI systems. You will create original programming problems not found on existing online judges, supply reference solutions, and build robust test suites and checkers that handle multiple valid outputs and edge cases. Your work directly shapes how models learn to reason and solve complex algorithmic tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Create unique competitive programming problems that are not present on existing online judges.
- Implement reference solutions and comprehensive test suites to stress diverse solution approaches and edge cases.
- Design and implement checkers for problems that permit multiple valid outputs, ensuring correctness and robustness.
- Evaluate and validate participant submissions against complex problem statements, including those sourced from platforms like Codeforces.
- Collaborate with the customer’s team to refine problem requirements and resolve ambiguous scenarios.
- Write clear, maintainable C++ code to assess outputs efficiently.
- Document checker logic and communicate intricacies or edge cases in writing and verbally.
- Provide feedback to problem setters and reviewers to improve test cases and checkers.
- Keep up to date with competitive programming standards and incorporate best practices into checker development.
- Proven expertise in competitive programming and coding problem analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in C++, with the ability to implement reliable, performant checker logic and reference solutions.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex constraints and multiple valid solution paths.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical details and edge cases.
- Meticulous attention to detail for code validation and output consistency.
- Experience working independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
- Ability to produce high-quality, well-documented code under tight deadlines.
- Preferred: prior experience as a problem setter, tester, or checker on major competitive programming platforms.

- Must be able to work as an independent contractor and operate effectively in a remote setting.
- Roles are typically filled within 48 hours; candidates who are selected should be prepared to begin their first tasks within 24 to 48 hours after completing onboarding.
