Video Data Collector (Smartphone)

Role Overview

Capture high-quality, first-person video of everyday activities to provide real-world training data for next-generation AI systems. This remote contract role supports project work in the UK, Canada, India, Singapore, South Africa, New Zealand, and Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Record natural, first-person video footage in real-world environments using your personal smartphone and a head strap during the initial project phase.
• Follow detailed recording instructions and submit videos with complete, accurate metadata.
• Independently identify suitable filming locations within approved settings while meeting privacy, consent, and safety requirements.
• Use company-provided video equipment and updated workflows in later project phases to record in public, commercial, and outdoor locations.
• Coordinate group activities when assignments require additional participants, obtaining all required written consents and permissions.
• Maintain data-quality and reliability standards so deliverables meet project guidelines.
• Communicate progress, challenges, and clarification requests to project coordinators.

Qualifications

• Experience with video capture or comparable data-collection work.
• Reliable access to a high-quality smartphone capable of video recording for the initial phase.
• Strong attention to detail, including metadata management, privacy, and consent compliance.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow complex instructions accurately and work across home and public environments.
• Ability to collaborate with or coordinate others for group-recording assignments.
• Adaptability to changing tasks, workflows, and equipment.

Work Terms

• Remote contractor engagement.
• Project activities may evolve from smartphone-based recording to company-provided equipment and updated recording workflows.

Compensation

$8 to $17 per hour.
