About this role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, redact, and generalize sensitive documents to ensure PII compliance, balancing data utility with privacy obligations.
  • Support M&A documentation by preparing and managing CIMs, SPAs, and other critical deal documentation.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous compliance protocols and reconciliation processes for complex data sets.
  • Advise on structural identifiability of confidential workflows, triage protocols, and proprietary procedures unique to clients.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and finance teams to resolve PII-related issues and provide subject matter guidance.
  • Assist in drafting and revising compliance policies and training materials to reflect best practices.
  • Maintain meticulous records of document handling and compliance activities for audit and review purposes.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with PII compliance in a legal or corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify non-obvious PII and apply advanced redaction and generalization techniques.
  • Solid understanding of M&A processes, including familiarity with CIMs and SPAs.
  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and managing sensitive financial and corporate documents.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and clarity.
  • Proactive approach to compliance, capable of balancing regulatory, operational, and business needs.
  • High integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and proprietary workflows.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in finance, corporate law, or within highly regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of global data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PII) and their application in M&A or corporate contexts.
  • Advanced training or certification in compliance, privacy, or legal research.
Work Terms:

Contract position, fully remote.

Compensation:

Hourly rate of $40 - $70.
