Role Overview
This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced AI models focused on legal reasoning. As a Specialist Lawyer in Real Estate, Tax, Bankruptcy/Restructuring, or Trusts & Estates, you will design realistic legal scenarios, evaluate AI outputs, and influence how AI interprets complex legal issues.
Key Responsibilities- Design realistic specialty scenarios based on your legal practice, including real estate transactions, M&A tax structuring, bankruptcy petitions, and estate planning workflows.
- Create high-quality reference responses that meet attorney-level standards.
- Assess AI-generated responses using structured evaluation rubrics.
- Provide detailed written feedback to enhance model performance.
- Engage in onboarding sessions and specialty calibration meetings.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in one of the following areas:
- Real Estate: commercial leasing, residential and commercial purchase agreements, title opinions, UCC liens, 1031 exchanges, zoning.
- Tax: M&A tax structuring, IRS controversy, SALT nexus analysis, transfer pricing, 501(c)(3) applications, 280G, partnership/LLC tax allocations.
- Bankruptcy / Restructuring: Chapter 11 petitions, DIP financing, 363 asset sales, plans of reorganization, automatic stay relief.
- Trusts & Estates: estate planning, will drafting, trust formation, trust administration.
- Possess a J.D. (U.S./Canada) or LL.B./LL.M. (U.K.) from an accredited law school.
- Be licensed to practice law in the U.S., Canada, or U.K. (active or inactive).
- Exhibit strong written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience across multiple legal specialties.
- LL.M. in Tax or Estate Planning.
- In-house experience with a real estate developer, financial institution, or wealth management firm.
- Experience in bankruptcy court or as a trustee.
- Minimum commitment of 20 hours per week (preferably 40+ hours).
- Fully remote position, applicants must reside in the United States, Canada, or United Kingdom.
- Immediate start with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
Hourly rate ranges from $85 to $120.
