Role Overview
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of advanced AI models focused on legal reasoning. As a Specialist Lawyer in Real Estate, Tax, Bankruptcy/Restructuring, or Trusts & Estates, you will create realistic scenarios, assess AI outputs, and influence the future of AI in high-stakes legal environments.
Key Responsibilities- Design realistic specialty scenarios based on your legal practice, including real estate purchases and leasing, M&A tax structuring, Chapter 11 petitions, and estate planning workflows.
- Write high-quality "golden" reference responses that reflect attorney-level expertise.
- Evaluate AI-generated responses using structured grading rubrics.
- Provide written feedback to the research team to enhance model performance.
- Engage in onboarding office hours and specialty calibration sessions.
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in one of the following specialties:
- Real Estate: commercial leasing, residential and commercial purchase agreements, title opinions, UCC liens, 1031 exchanges, zoning.
- Tax: M&A tax structuring, IRS controversy, SALT nexus analysis, transfer pricing, 501(c)(3) applications, 280G, partnership/LLC tax allocations.
- Bankruptcy / Restructuring: Chapter 11 petitions, DIP financing, 363 asset sales, plans of reorganization, automatic stay relief.
- Trusts & Estates: estate planning, will drafting, trust formation, trust administration.
- Possess a J.D. (U.S) or LL.B./LL.M. from an accredited law school.
- Hold an active or inactive license to practice law in the U.S.
- Exhibit excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience across multiple specialties.
- LL.M. in Tax or Estate Planning.
- In-house experience with a real estate developer, financial institution, or wealth management firm.
- Experience in bankruptcy court or trustee work.
- Minimum commitment of 15 hours per week (ideally 40+ hours).
- Fully remote position, applicants must be based in the United States, Canada, or the United Kingdom.
- Role is available immediately, with applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
Hourly rate of $100, $150.
