About this role

Apply your computational fluid dynamics expertise to help improve how AI systems interpret, solve, and explain complex engineering simulation challenges. This remote contract role focuses on high-quality technical evaluation, problem solving, and feedback across mesh generation, turbulence modeling, multiphase flow, heat transfer, solver setup, and verification and validation. No prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and solve advanced CFD problems involving mesh generation, turbulence modeling, multiphase flow, heat transfer, and solver configuration.
  • Review AI-generated technical responses for correctness, accuracy, and engineering integrity.
  • Apply practical engineering judgment to simulation scenarios and theoretical fluid dynamics questions.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot CFD issues using mesh independence, turbulence-model selection, boundary-condition specification, and convergence analysis.
  • Contribute domain expertise that strengthens AI reasoning in computational fluid dynamics.
  • Document feedback and provide clear written and verbal explanations that improve AI learning and performance.
  • Collaborate remotely with a distributed network of technical experts and project participants.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field focused on fluid dynamics or thermofluids, or equivalent practical CFD experience of 3+ years.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience conducting and validating CFD simulations, including mesh generation, solver setup, turbulence modeling, multiphase or heat-transfer analysis, or post-processing.
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, energy, marine, HVAC, process, or biomedical industries.
  • Deep knowledge of the Navier-Stokes equations, RANS, LES, DES, meshing strategies, boundary-condition specification, and verification and validation practices.
  • Ability to analyze and validate fluid-flow, heat-transfer, and multiphysics problems with CFD tools, using experimental or analytical data for comparison.
  • Familiarity with standards and practices such as ASME V&V 20, AIAA CFD verification and validation guidance, and ITTC procedures.
  • Excellent English proficiency and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, COMSOL, or Converge is a strong plus. Problem authoring, technical committee service, competition leadership, or peer-recognized CFD community contributions are also valued.
Work Terms
  • Remote contract engagement.
Compensation
  • $50 to $150 per hour.
