Role Overview
Record head-mounted, synchronized smartphone video of common household tasks to produce high-quality sensor and video data used to train next-generation AI systems. This remote, project-based role emphasizes precise adherence to technical protocols, consistent weekly contribution of approved footage, and timely delivery of labeled data. You will support AI model training by capturing reproducible, deterministic recordings that validate sensor streams and annotations.
Key Responsibilities- Capture household tasks using a compatible smartphone while wearing a head strap so both hands are visible.
- Record synchronized video and sensor data to validate and improve data integrity.
- Follow detailed technical protocols to meet quality, labeling, and determinism standards for each submission.
- Contribute a minimum of 10 hours of approved video data per week while the project is active.
- Participate in device compatibility checks and a custom AI-enabled interview as part of qualification.
- Communicate with the project team to clarify guidelines, report issues, and provide feedback on data collection processes.
- Ensure timely and reliable delivery of data outputs according to project milestones and specifications.
- Access to a compatible smartphone, supported devices include iPhone 12 or later, Google Pixel 6 or later, and Samsung Galaxy S21 or later.
- Access to a head strap and ability to have it ready within 48 hours of the start date.
- Experience recording smartphone video, strong digital literacy, and familiarity with mobile device capabilities.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and adherence to standardized protocols and technical instructions.
- Ability to perform repetitive movement tasks safely and accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration and documentation.
- Engagement type: project-based contract work.
- Minimum contribution when the project is active: at least 10 hours of approved video data per week.
- There is no guaranteed minimum duration or guaranteed minimum weekly hours provided by the project; available hours and engagement length fluctuate based on client needs.
- Start timeline: roles are typically filled within 48 hours. If selected, you should be prepared to begin your first task as soon as you complete onboarding, with an expectation to start approximately 24 hours after onboarding is finished.
- Required pre-work steps include device compatibility checks and participation in a custom AI-enabled interview process.
- Listed pay range: $13.00 to $15.00 per hour.
- Compensation structure is output-based, experts are paid per recorded video that meets project specifications, and the time required to complete work may vary based on experience and workflow.
