As a Vocational Training Expert, you will leverage your extensive experience in workforce training to design digital workspaces that reflect real-world vocational settings. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing tasks that challenge state-of-the-art AI systems, ensuring they are trained in environments that mirror actual workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Build a realistic digital workspace based on your daily organizational tools, including curricula, competency rubrics, lesson plans, apprentice records, credentialing paperwork, and relevant applications like Google Classroom and SharePoint.
- Design multi-step tasks that reflect your real workflows, requiring navigation through various applications, files, and stakeholder interactions to effectively challenge AI agents.
- Collaborate with fellow vocational and workforce-training experts to design the environment, define task scope, and review scenarios for realism and rigor.
- Work asynchronously with research teams to refine task designs and establish evaluation criteria for workforce-training agent benchmarks.
- Contribute to cutting-edge AI research, with your work directly influencing how leading labs train and evaluate the next generation of AI systems.
- 3+ years of full-time experience in a large community college system, major union training trust, or Fortune 500 corporate training/L&D organization.
- Expertise in areas such as curriculum and instructional design for skilled trades, apprenticeship program administration, competency-based assessment, workforce development policy, or corporate training with a technical focus.
- Proficient in using platforms like Google Classroom, Google Forms, and SharePoint/Box in daily operations.
- Strong analytical thinking and writing skills, capable of translating training workflows into structured task specifications.
This position is remote and operates on an hourly basis.
CompensationThe hourly rate ranges from $40 to $55, with a transition to a compensation model based on the throughput of quality work.
