Research Quality Specialist in Computational Material Science

Role Overview:

This position offers a unique opportunity for a highly analytical and computationally skilled individual to contribute significantly to the field of material science research. You will be responsible for designing challenging scientific problems and developing elegant computational solutions, playing a crucial role in advancing our understanding and application of material science.

Key Responsibilities:

Quantitative Problem Design and Solutioning:

• Develop and conceptualize original, research-grade or graduate-level scientific problems utilizing scientific coding/programming in Python.
• Define problem categories, assign secondary tags, and determine appropriate difficulty levels rigorously.
• Formulate and solve problems using sound principles, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and logical coherence in the solution path.

Quality Assurance & Collaboration:

• Participate in two-tier reviews, evaluating the accuracy of problems and solutions meticulously.
• Collaborate effectively with reviewers and team leads, proactively incorporating feedback to refine content and enhance overall quality.

Qualifications:

• PhD or PhD Candidates in Computational Material Science (specializing in Semiconductor materials and Molecular modeling).
• At least one published peer-reviewed paper.
• Advanced proficiency in Python programming for scientific coding is preferred.
• Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective documentation and collaboration.

Work Terms:

• Commitments Required: 40 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap in PST.
• Engagement Type: Contractor assignment/freelancer (no medical/paid leave).
• Duration of Contract: 8 weeks; expected start date is next week.
• Location: Candidates must reside in Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Turkey, or Vietnam.
