Material Science Research Quality Specialist

Role Overview:

Join a dynamic team as a Research Quality Specialist in Material Science, where your analytical skills and computational expertise will play a crucial role in developing and solving complex scientific problems. This position offers the opportunity to craft original research-grade challenges and devise elegant computational solutions in a fully remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Quantitative Problem Design and Solutioning:

• Develop and conceptualize original, research-grade or graduate-level scientific problems using Python for scientific coding and programming.
• Define problem categories, assign secondary tags, and determine appropriate difficulty levels.
• Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and logical coherence of solutions through rigorous problem-solving practices.

Quality Assurance & Collaboration:

• Participate in two-tier reviews, evaluating the accuracy of problems and solutions meticulously.
• Collaborate with reviewers and team leads, incorporating feedback proactively to refine content and enhance overall quality.

Qualifications:

• PhD or PhD Candidates in Computational Material Science, focusing on Semiconductor materials and Molecular modeling.
• At least one published peer-reviewed paper.
• Advanced proficiency in Python programming for scientific coding is preferred.
• Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration.

Work Terms:

• Commitment of 40 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap in PST.
• Engagement type: Contractor assignment/freelancer (no medical/paid leave).
• Duration of contract: 8 weeks; expected start date is next week.
• Location: Open to candidates from Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Turkey, Vietnam.
