Computational Physics Research Quality Specialist

Role Overview:

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a highly analytical and computationally proficient individual with a strong research background. You will play a crucial role in crafting challenging and insightful problems within the field of computational physics and devising elegant computational solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Quantitative Problem Design and Solutioning:

• Develop and conceptualize original, research-grade or graduate-level scientific problems using scientific coding/programming in Python.
• Define problem categories, assign secondary tags, and determine appropriate difficulty levels.
• Formulate and rigorously solve problems, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and logical coherence throughout the solution path.

Quality Assurance & Collaboration:

• Participate in two-tier reviews, meticulously evaluating the accuracy of problems and solutions.
• Collaborate effectively with reviewers and team leads, proactively incorporating feedback to refine content and enhance overall quality.

Qualifications:

• PhD or PhD candidates in Computational Physics.
• At least 1 published peer-reviewed paper.
• Advanced proficiency in Python programming for scientific coding is preferred.
• Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and collaboration.

Work Terms:

• Commitment: 40 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap in PST.
• Engagement type: Contractor assignment/freelancer (no medical/paid leave).
• Contract duration: 8 weeks; expected start date is next week.
• Location: Open to candidates from Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Turkey, Vietnam.
