Role Overview:
This position offers a unique opportunity for a highly analytical and computationally skilled individual to make significant contributions in the field of computational chemistry. You will play a crucial role in designing challenging research problems and developing sophisticated computational solutions that advance scientific understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
Quantitative Problem Design and Solutioning:
- Develop and conceptualize original, research-grade or graduate-level scientific problems using Python for scientific coding and programming.
- Define problem categories, assign secondary tags, and determine appropriate difficulty levels for each problem.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and logical coherence of solutions through rigorous problem-solving techniques.
Quality Assurance & Collaboration:
- Participate in two-tier reviews, meticulously evaluating the accuracy of problems and solutions.
- Collaborate with reviewers and team leads, proactively incorporating feedback to refine content and enhance overall quality.
Qualifications:
- PhD or PhD Candidates in Computational Chemistry.
- At least 1 published peer-reviewed paper.
- Advanced proficiency in Python programming for scientific coding is preferred.
- Strong analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective documentation and collaboration.
Work Terms:
- Commitment of 40 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap in PST.
- Contractor assignment/freelancer status (no medical or paid leave).
- Contract duration of 8 weeks with an expected start date next week.
- Remote work available for candidates located in Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Kenya, Nigeria, Turkey, or Vietnam.
