About this role
As a Personal Finance Expert, you will play a pivotal role in advancing frontier agent evaluations in personal finance by creating long-horizon tasks that reflect real-world financial scenarios. Each task will be accompanied by a deterministic rubric to assess agent performance against verifiable ground truth, ensuring that all tasks have checkable answers without subjective judgment.
Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for developing scenarios in the following areas:
- Day-to-day money: Transaction categorization against a defined category map, budget reconciliation to known targets, and spending anomaly detection with seeded anomalies.
- Tax and planning: Tax packet assembly with a required-document checklist and net worth rollups with computable totals.
- Consumer finance: Credit card comparisons scored against a defined rubric and billing disputes with ground-truth valid/invalid outcomes.
These scenarios will require focused, long sessions of concentration.
Qualifications- 3+ years of experience in personal finance, tax preparation, bookkeeping, or wealth advisory.
- Expertise in one or more of the following: tax preparation (TurboTax or equivalent), budgeting systems (Mint, Monarch, Copilot), personal bookkeeping (QuickBooks), US tax rules, credit card and rewards ecosystems.
- Ability to read and produce personal finance documents such as budgets, tax packets, dispute letters, and portfolio summaries.
- Strong written communication skills, capable of articulating reasoning step by step and encoding it into deterministic rubrics.
- Certifications such as CFP, EA, CPA, or equivalent are a plus.
- Must be located in the United States or Canada.
This is a remote, hourly position.
CompensationCompensation ranges from $65 to $90 per hour, depending on domain depth and prior experience. Strong contributors will have opportunities for promotion based on task quality and throughput.
