Role Overview
As a Tax Professional (EA / CPA), you will play a crucial role in interpreting and analyzing complex US tax laws. This remote position allows you to leverage your expertise to provide structured feedback on tax statutes, ensuring compliance and clarity in regulatory documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret and analyze US federal and state tax statutes, focusing on statutory language including conditions, thresholds, AND/OR logic, and legal exceptions.
- Review and evaluate the English translation of complex tax laws for accuracy and clarity.
- Provide comprehensive, structured written feedback within a review UI to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality output.
- Apply logical reasoning to identify inconsistencies, ambiguities, and gaps in tax documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders to clarify interpretations and resolve uncertainties.
- Leverage expert knowledge as an Enrolled Agent, CPA, or Tax Attorney to uphold the highest standards in legal and regulatory review.
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of changes in US tax law and communicate critical updates to the team.
- Credentialed as an Enrolled Agent (EA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Tax Attorney.
- Demonstrated expertise in regulatory interpretation and US tax law application.
- Exceptional logical reasoning and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting raw US statutory language.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, with experience delivering actionable feedback.
- Comfortable working in a review UI and reviewing complex regulatory documents.
- Relevant tax experience, ideally with statutory interpretation and compliance review.
- Experience drafting or translating tax law language or guidance.
- Background in legal analysis or technical tax documentation review.
- Familiarity with collaborative, remote-first expert teams.
Contract position with a remote work arrangement.
CompensationHourly rate of $55 - $75.
EligibilityMust be credentialed as an EA, CPA, or Tax Attorney.
