Key Responsibilities
  • Author and review complex physics problems used to train and evaluate advanced AI models.
  • Evaluate model outputs on tasks such as analytical derivation, mechanism prediction, numerical modeling, experimental design, and literature reasoning.
  • Identify areas where current models fail, particularly mistakes that a working PhD physicist would recognize immediately.
  • Collaborate with a small program team and other senior contributors.
Qualifications

This role is targeted at accomplished researchers with a strong academic background. Ideal candidates will have:

  • First-author or co-first-author publications in high-impact journals such as Physical Review Letters, Nature, Science, and others.
  • Doctoral or postdoctoral training from a top-20 global institution in physics or STEM.
  • Competitive fellowships (e.g., NSF GRFP, Hertz, Sloan Research Fellow) or equivalent recognitions.
  • Issued patents, experience with spin-out companies, or grants where they were named PI or co-PI.
  • International Physics Olympiad medals (Gold/Silver/Bronze).
