Role Overview

Apply hands-on, real-world expertise with Linux Ubuntu 24.04, using your existing daily desktop environment to support specialized application work.

Qualifications

• You currently use Linux Ubuntu 24.04 as your primary day-to-day desktop operating system and can work in it immediately.
• You have practical professional experience with specialized applications.
• You must provide your own Ubuntu 24.04 environment, including any necessary software, virtual machines, hardware, and access. These resources are not provided.

Technology Requirements

• You must be able to capture screenshots exceeding 2.5 megapixels.
• A qualifying single-monitor setup includes a display at or above one of these minimum resolutions: 4:3, 1826 × 1370; 16:9, 2109 × 1186; 16:10, 2000 × 1250; 3:2, 1937 × 1291; or 21:9 ultrawide, 2416 × 1036.
• Examples of qualifying displays include 2048 × 1536, 2560 × 1440 QHD, 3840 × 2160 4K, 5120 × 2880 5K, 2240 × 1400, 2560 × 1600, 2880 × 1800, 2160 × 1440, 2256 × 1504, 2736 × 1824, 3000 × 2000, 2560 × 1080, 3440 × 1440, and 3840 × 1600.
• Built-in displays on 14-inch MacBook Pro models at 3024 × 1964 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models at 3456 × 2234 also qualify.
• Alternatively, use two side-by-side monitors captured in one spanning image. Two monitors at 1920 × 1080 or higher qualify, but one 1080p display alone does not.

Work Terms

• Remote, hourly engagement.

Compensation

• $60 to $70 per hour.
