About this role

Role Overview

Join a groundbreaking initiative to build realistic enterprise environments for training and evaluating frontier AI agents. As an education technology expert, you will leverage your experience from Fortune 500 ed-tech companies, large R1 universities, or major K-12 districts to recreate the digital workspaces that reflect modern educational practices. Your role will involve designing tasks that genuinely challenge state-of-the-art AI, utilizing your expertise in LMS administration, educational product design, learning analytics, or district-wide ed-tech operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construct a realistic digital workspace that includes the Drive folders you use daily, featuring product specifications, learning-design documents, assessment rubrics, engagement reports, integration plans, professional development materials, and email threads that represent your actual work organization, along with relevant platforms such as Google Classroom and PowerSchool.
  • Develop multi-step tasks based on your real workflows that require navigating multiple applications, files, and stakeholders, effectively challenging frontier AI agents.
  • Collaborate with fellow education-technology experts to design the environment, define task scope, and review scenarios for realism and rigor.
  • Engage asynchronously with research teams to refine task designs and establish evaluation criteria for ed-tech agent benchmarks.
  • Contribute to cutting-edge AI research and benchmarking, with your work directly influencing how leading labs train and evaluate the next generation of AI systems.
Ideal Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full-time experience at a Fortune 500 ed-tech company, R1 university, or major K-12 district/state-level education agency.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • LMS administration and ed-tech integration
    • Educational product management, learning engineering, or instructional design
    • Learning analytics, assessment design, or adaptive-learning platforms
    • District-level ed-tech leadership
    • Compliance with student-data regulations (FERPA, COPPA) and accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508)
  • Proficient in the daily use of Google Classroom, PowerSchool or Infinite Campus, and Google Forms.
  • Strong analytical thinking and writing skills, with the ability to translate ed-tech workflows into structured task specifications.
Compensation Note

This project will start with an effective hourly rate, transitioning to a compensation model based on the throughput of quality work rather than a flat accruing hourly rate.
