Role Overview
As a Corporate Development Expert, you will play a pivotal role in advancing frontier agent evaluations in corporate finance by building long-horizon transaction and strategy tasks. Your work will involve creating scenarios that are paired with deterministic rubrics to grade agent performance against verifiable ground truth, ensuring that tasks have checkable answers without subjective judgment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop scenarios for M&A analysis, including comps tables with defined peer sets and metrics, DCFs aligned with target valuation ranges, and LBO and merger models with specified returns.
- Conduct diligence by creating synergy build-ups tied to source data and extracting CIMs against a ground-truth fact set.
- Design capital allocation scenarios with specified IRRs, NPVs, and payback outputs.
- Engage in challenging tasks that require long sessions of focused work.
- BS or MS in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or strategic finance.
- Expertise in LBO/merger modeling, DCF valuation, comps and precedent analysis, synergy analysis, and IC memo drafting.
- Ability to read and produce transaction artifacts, including models, teasers, CIMs, and IC/board memos.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to articulate reasoning step by step and encode it into deterministic rubrics.
- Must be located in the United States or Canada.
This is a remote position with an hourly employment type.
CompensationThe compensation ranges from $100 to $135 per hour, depending on domain depth and prior experience. Strong contributors will have opportunities for promotion based on task quality and throughput.
